Tom's Reward for being the second top seller in popcorn

On Thursday last week (yeah, I am running behind on my posting)... Tom's Cub Scout Pack had a meeting with a hawian luau theme... there were smoothies, and they played games... there was a contest to see who could hula hoop the longest, (Tom didnt win :( ) There was a limbo contest, Tom made it to the final 15, then he didnt win... However, as a reward for selling more than $750 in popcorn, the scouts got to Pie any of the Pack leaders... Tom, being that he sold almost $1600 in popcorn, and was the second highest seller in the entire pack (not too bad for a first timer), chose his den leader... Mrs Giline Arabu... Impromtu Visit with Amanda & her family

This weekend, me and the kids made an impromtu visit to my sisters place... She lives a mere 3 hours away... we left on Friday, and returned Sunday afternoon, we had a ton of fun... got to watch Ryanne, Reagan, and Jerry play basket ball, hit East of Chicago for some pizza and salad (:D) and also managed to bring home pizza as they were clearing out the buffet table, and were happened to be the only ones there taking up just four tables... LOL... HEre are some pictures of our weekend... I will leave the basketball pics for Amanda to post as they are her kids.. In addition to basketball & pizza, as anyone in the Halifax Clan knows, there was both games and alcohol involved...

So, this weekend, my kids took their piggy banks to the my bank, and they all opened their very own savings accounts... The thing I like about my bank is that they have age appropriate accounts. The statements will come addressed to each of them every month in a fashion that they can understand with "flyers" geared towards their age groups.. .they are all really excited to start earning money on their money...

Joe's & My Christmas

This year was pretty amazing for Joe and I as well...

Joe received a digital camera that he has been wanting for some time, along with a memory card, and some movies... For his birthday the kids and I also got him an MP3 and some new work out cloths.

I received the Blender I have been wanting really really badly, an MP3, and Joe and I received a joint gift of a digital camcorder.... well, it was more for me than Joe, but I will share I guess.. .LOL...

Sarah's Christmas

Sarah's favorite gift was her new Toy Vanity and accessories. In addition, Sarah also received an electronic keyboard that has electric drums included, a television, and a V-smile with two games... and what a surprise it actually came with a game as well... though it didnt come with a plug, so we are constantly changing the batteries, think I will need to go and get a plug soon... From Grandma & Grandpa Halifax Sarah received a butterfly barbie, which has wings and sings... and from Grandma & Grandpa Cabaj, Sarah also received money which she used to buy a ball, and one of those fuzzy coloring posters... whatever money was left was put in her piggy bank..

Tom's Christmas

Tom's favorite christmas present was his remote control dodge ram...




In addition to the truck, Tom received a Television, a Toy electric guitar, some electric drums, a mini digital camera and some other smaller stuff... From Grandma & Grandpa Halifax Tom received a walking talking robot (something he has wanted for a long time) and from Grandma and Grandpa Cabaj Tom reveived money. He used some of it to buy himself a ball and a toy gun that shoots rubber darts, and he put the rest of his money in his piggy bank...

She also received a Dell computer, an MP3 and a mini digital camera along with some small miscellaneous stuff... Grandma and Grandpa Halifax got her some makeup (which she has been using daily) and Grandma and Grandpa Cabaj gave money which she was able to buy a music book for her keyboard with...
