Cub Scout Camping Trip

As a few of you know, all those Popcorn sales were to earn Tom & his pack access to some exciting activities this year. Well, in addition to the Halloween Party, Tom & Joe got to go on the fall camping trip. They went to the D-Bar-A Cubscout Campground in Dryden Michigan. Here are some pics of their trip.
This is a picture of Pack 1916 and the Pack leaders. Tom is in the front with the yellow coat on. There are 85 boys within Pack 1916, not all of them attended the camping trip.

This is wear Tom & Joe slept.. Tom had top bunk and his dad had the bottom bunk... According to Joe, all the dad's took the bottom bunks... lucky boys.

This is a picture of Tom at the shooting range, dont panic, they were only shooting BB Guns, but they did have a great time...

And this is a picture of Tom's Den, of the six boys that are in the Den, these were the four that attended the camping trip.

Cub Scout Halloween Party

Sarah was Aurora, a beautiful princess, and Tom was Captain Jack Sparrow... I was exceptional proud of his makeup job, took me an hour to do

Joe was the Devil, though we ran out of time and forgot to put on his horns...

Alysha was the Wicked Witch of the West

Now, here is my honesty, there were pics of me at the time of this party, however due to my surprise for my family, I was unable to show you it at the time...

Thank you to everyone who ordered popcorn

Tom managed to earn a special gift certificate for his total sale's in Popcorn. With what he sold for "show & Sell's" that is where we went to the stores & sold popcorn, his door to door sales, and his actual sales, Tom sold an amazing $1559.00 in product... Good job son, we are proud...

Tom went door to door this weekend selling his popcorn. He sold $334 dollars in product... Not too bad for a couple of hours of walking... To celebrate, I bought the kids pizza. I figured it was the least I could do for them working so hard... Alysha, being a great big sister, walked the route with Tom, as I cruised along in the van. There was no way we were toting all that popcorn in a wagon...

Check out these pictures of clouds.. I seen them on the way to work one day.. .doesnt it look like two paths directly heading to ground... And if you notice, the paths start in the clouds... Weird

Tom sells Popcorn

Tom has been doing wonderful... On Friday night we set up a table just inside of a Kmart and Tom sold $180 in popcorn... I was so proud... He is so polite when he is an acting salesman...
Here is a picture of Tom in front of the popcorn we were trying to sell...

New Front Door

(This is the before pic, taken last spring)

We have been changing a couple of things this year. We have taken out more bushes... Laid some mulch (we need more still), and have finally replaced the hollow front door.

When doing so we notice the trim around our sidelights was rotted, so we pulled it off to find that whoever put the sidelights in only glued them into place, they never even caulked them... No wonder it was always cold by the front door... We have caulked the heck out of them, replaced the trim and moved our house number... so... what do you think...

This picture was taken on the morning of October 22 as I was leaving for work...

Sarah is trying to follow Tom's lead, here is her summersault.

However, she is also practicing the splits

Tom is in Glasses

An Eye test this year revealed that Tom has followed in his daddy's footsteps.. Tom has the beginnings of Far-sightedness, so he can see things far away, but not close up... the glasses are just for reading... But doesn't he look handsome.

Congratulations to Alysha

Alysha took her first Test in Band today for her Tenor Sax. The band instructor say's she is really good, needs to practice a few notes, her finger keeps bumping a key that is making her notes die out... but he has made her FIRST CHAIR.... what an honor for never having played before... And the students she was competing against have been playing since 5th Grade... I am so proud of her....

Send Alysha a special congratulations to her email... amcabaj@wowway.com

Alysha loves her music

Alysha started out her band career playing a song flute in forth grade... Then in 5th grade, she moved up to a Flute...

Then late in the year, in 6th grade, she decided to give the Alto Sax a try, and after not practicing all summer we returned it, though I might say, she was good....

When she returned to school for 7th grade, her band instructor wanted her to give the Tenor Sax a go, after hearing her play just one time, the instructor told her that had he not know she hadn't played the Tenor sax all along, he would have never guessed. Now, Alysha lugs this enormous Sax back and forth to school... and she will be in Jazz band as well this year... Alysha seems to have inherited some of Uncle Aaron's genes, as she is talented both with a pencil & paper and with Instruments. :) We are so proud of her... She is so talented.
